During a meeting with the Majlis Legal and Judicial Committee, Shahrudi underlined the need for the Judiciary and the Majlis to interact, cooperate, and expand relations between high-ranking officials of the Judiciary and the Majlis Legal and Judicial Committee and proposed scheduling joint meetings and establishing joint working groups.
Referring to the necessity to thoroughly study judicial bills and plans proposed by the committee and the Judiciary, Shahrudi said that the specific philosophy and fundamentals of formulating judicial bills and plans should be observed by MPs and members of the Judiciary.
The judiciary chief described goods trafficking and usurpation of land as two major sources of economic corruption which the executive branch of government, the Majlis, and the Judiciary should deal with through, serious, sincere, and comprehensive cooperation.
"The Majlis Legal and Judicial Committee is prepared to study and approve the plans and bills the Judiciary deems necessary,” committee chairman Mohammad Taqi Mohassel Hamedani said.
